Profile

Hi, I'm Jenny and I am an experienced BACP Accredited Counsellor/Psychotherapist offering counselling to individuals and couples in a private and comfortable room near Upminster Bridge Station in Essex.

Counselling Solutions is a professional and inspiring counselling service dedicated to helping you to find positive solutions and move forward with your life.

Many people have area's of their life that are either out of control or unmanageable; others just know something isn't right even if they don't know what 'it' is. Whatever the situation I will work with you to help you find ways to gain control of situations or emotions to enable you to have a happier more fulfilled life.

I work in an integrative way using Solution Focused Brief Therapy and Cognitive Behaviour therapy (CBT), as appropriate.

I have specialised experience in domestic violence, anger management, self esteem, self confidence, relationship problems, depression and post traumatic stress.

I offer both long term and short term counselling with adults, both male and female in a professional, warm, friendly environment.

As an Accredited Member of the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy I work within an Equal Opportunities Framework and the B.A.C.P Ethical Framework for Good Practice in Counselling and Psychotherapy.

You can view more about my practice on my website www.counsellingsolutions.co.uk

You can also visit the B.A.C.P website at www.bacp.co.uk for a list of accredited members. Accreditation indicates that your counsellor has achieved a substantial level of training and experience that has been approved by The British Association of Counselling and Psychotheraphy.

This is a genuine review received from a client on 10th March 2009.

"From viewing Jenny's website and from the initial contact with Jenny,
I felt that this was someone that could really help me. It's not an
easy decision admitting you need help, let alone actually making that
call/e-mail to get help. However my doubts were reduced after viewing
her website and through our initial e-mail conversation.

The big day finally came when I was to attend my first session, not
knowing what to expect I was a bundle of nerves. What a relief to see
a happy smiley face welcome me at the door, my nerves soon left me and
I felt relaxed in Jenny's company and was reassured re confidentiality
and the way in which my problems could be addressed.

Jenny listened to my problems and offered practical solutions to the
issues she identified. She even gave me homework, yes homework!!!, but
don't worry it really does help and gets you to think more of your
problem and helps you to think more positively.

Jenny is honest with her view/suggestion's on how often you should
attend sessions, there is no pressure and it's up you how often you
attend. The only thing I would say is that please listen to her advice
regarding this, I did and I was soon feeling well enough to conclude
my sessions.

Jenny really can help you, even though you think nobody can help you
(just like I did), give her a go and you will be so happy that you did.

Thank you Jenny"
