I am a qualified and experienced counsellor working in Topsham, Exeter. I am a friendly, approachable and open minded person offering confidential and non-judgemental counselling to individuals. I believe in developing a warm and trusting relationship with people so that it can feel safe enough to explore difficult or painful issues. These maybe to do with depression, realtionships or work now or they may go back a long way in the past.

I have a broad experience spread over 15 years and have worked with adults and young people in a variety of community settings including In Touch youth counselling, Rape Crisis Centre and with parents in Children's Centres. I have been working in the area of mental health for much of my life. In addition I have always seen a few people privately. I have particular training and experience in working with those who have experienced childhood abuse or rape.

I offer brief counselling or longer term therapy according to your needs and situation.

I work in an integrative way using a wide variety of approaches. I will help you talk through and reflect on what is concerning you and your present situation. Together we can enable you to know and understand yourself and your present life better so that you can make the changes you would like to make be they in your feelings, behaviour or relationships. This will hopefully lead you to a more satisfying and fulfilling life.

I offer creative ways of working for those who feel comfortable using them. This can be very helpful when words are not enough.

I am a member and accredited by BACP. This means I am bound by their Code of Ethics and Good Practice and they monitor my work.
