Counsellor Profile

Qualified and experienced Counsellor. British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) Accredited and listed on the United Kingdom Register of Counsellors (UKRC).

I have been working as a counsellor since 2000 and now run an independent private practice in Central London. I offer open-ended counselling and time-limited focused therapy for adult individuals usually on a once a week basis.

The kind of therapy I practice is based on what are called psychodynamic principles, with the recognition that the difficulties we experience in the present often have their roots in the past.

I also offer CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy), when appropriate. CBT sessions tend to focused more on the here and now and use the connections between thoughts, feelings and behaviour in a collaborative effort to examine, understand and modify the way the world is experienced and how this effects behaviour.

I have an Honours degree in Psychology and I am currently working toward Chartered status as a Counselling Psychologist (BPS).
