Profile
I am a BACP Accredited Psychodynamic Counsellor offering face-to-face Counselling to individuals wishing to make sense of themselves and/or their life. Perhaps you have feelings that are hard to resolve or understand and that may then make life and relationships difficult. Counselling offers you the opportunity not only to talk about your difficulties but perhaps gain understanding and change. I work with clients in a safe, confidential and non-judgemental relationship. Within this counselling relationship an understanding and insight into such issues as anger, loss, conflict, guilt, anxiety, relationship issues, lack of confidence, low self esteem and depression or low mood may be achieved.
Please note I do not counsel couples, only individual adults over the age of 18 years of age.
Sessions are weekly and as far as possible at the same time and on the same day each week.
As a member of the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP) I am bound by its Ethical Framework for Good Practice.

Training, Qualifications & Experience
I am an Accredited Psychodynamic Counsellor with 12 years experience, and registered with the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP). Also a UKRC registered independent practioner and Treasurer of the Reading Therapies Group.
I have a BSc (Hons) degree in Psychology from Brunel University and Post Graduate Diploma in Counselling from the University of Reading..

Fees
Initial session £45, thereafter £38 per session.
Concessions may be available for those on low income.
I review my fees annually.
Further Information
Parking is available at my address or in nearby streets. My practice is on a bus route and Reading Mainline Railway Station is approximately a 10 to 15 minute walk.
There is wheelchair access.
