    Further Information

    Counselling Young People

Children today have complicated family lives and have to cope with a results-driven educational climate. Troubled feelings block learning, as any teacher will tell you. Counselling is a tried and tested way of helping resolve these problems.

Young people need support as soon as their problems arise. Very often a few sessions with a counsellor can nip problems in the bud. Waiting until later can lead to longer term mental health difficulties. Investing in children now must result in savings later.

It works for everyone - evidence shows that young people rarely attach any stigma to seeing a counsellor, parents appreciate the chance to get some outside help and teachers are left free to get on with teaching!!

We hear about emotional literacy these days. The lessons about finding your own solutions to worries and difficulties are best learnt early on in life.
