Profile
I am a mature and experienced 'integrative' counsellor / psychotherapist, which means I integrate different types of therapy to tailor treatment to the needs of the individual. As an alternative, I also use purely cognitive behavioural psychotherapy (CBT), if this is considered to be more helpful.
I work from comfortable, peaceful and confidential premises with private parking and also on a Derby/Belper bus route (bus stop close by). I am located 7 miles north of Derby city centre, and about 5 minutes drive from both the A38 and the A6. A planner map is available on my website.
The parking, therapy rooms and toilet facilities are fully wheelchair friendly.

Training, Qualifications & Experience
I have a Post Graduate Diploma and a Master of Arts degree (with Merit) in Integrative Counselling and a Post Graduate Certificate in MSc in Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapy.
My experience includes working with people with physical disabilities, visual impairment, prison work and the NHS. I am an Accredited Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy. This means my work and practice meet the standards of a competent, ethical and independant practitioner. I also have the status of UKRCP Registered Independent Counsellor / Psychotherapist (United Kingdom Register of Counsellors and Psychotherapists). My professional development is ongoing and up to date.
You may have concerns or queries about counselling or psychotherapy or the process involved. Please contact me in confidence by phone or e mail for any help or information. I offer daytime and evening appointments.
