Counsellor Profile
I have 20 years experience as a counsellor and have worked in a number of settings - GP surgery, College, in a large Company - as well as having a private practice. My approach is psychodynamic, which means I am interested in how present emotional/relationship/mental health difficulties relate to our past experience. I believe that coming to understand ourselves better, in the context of a relationship of trust with a therapist, provides us with the tools we need to live a little more freely. There are no miracles, but a lot of freedom, self-awareness and self-confidence to be gained.
I work both short and long-term, depending on the needs and desires of the individual.
