Counsellor Profile
I am a qualified, experienced and highly individual practitioner of psychology! I believe in the right of the individual within or outside of the group. I work in eclectic fashion, basing my approach on systemic, psychodynamic and narrative thinking. I am Chartered by the British Psychological Society as both a Counselling and as an Organisational Psychologist, and very much enjoy the exhilaration drawn from utilising both sets of skills in individual, group, team or organisational interventions. I seek to be always prepared to think new thoughts, see in new ways, and most of all, to hear what is and is not being said. I love what I do, and intend to go on doing it for as long as I am able.
Training, Qualifications & Experience (more info)
I am trained as a social worker (CQSW) with specialisms in mental health and child protection. My psychological training includes counselling and organisational work, and I am chartered in both sub-disciplines. I also work part-time as an Expert Witness in child care cases, assessing and writing reports for court in disputed childcare cases. I also work part-time for myself as a psychological coach (in which I am currently training at The Tavistock Centre), and part-time for the NHS as a specialist child and adolescent psychologist. I also have a small private practice, where I see individuals, couples, and coaching clients.

Fees
I separate out private counselling and therapy from my organisational work. I charge £80.00 per hour for the former, and £120 per hour for the latter. However, where necessary, I am flexible: I would never allow cost to determine whether or not I worked with a potential client.
Extra Information
I am based in the East Midlands, and could have access to rooms in London - for this the fee is slightly higher (£100) to cover costs. I have my own practice setting in Newark, and could have rooms available also in Mansfield or Nottingham.
