I am a BACP Accredited Counsellor, a Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapist (GHR & CNHC Registered) and a Qualified Supervisor.
My experience comes from working for agencies specialising in areas such as womens issues, mental health, young people, carers and disability issues, as well as from my private practice. I am an affiliate Counsellor to several Employee Assistance Providers and I also work as a student Counsellor in a High School.
I provide Consultative Support to Qualified and Trainee Counsellors as well as Alternative Therapists, Managers in the Voluntary sector, Behaviour Mentors and other Support/Pastoral staff.
I am employed as a Group Supervisor in various Agencies/Organisations. I supervise Counsellors in training from various Colleges/Universities and I am an Approved Supervisor to students attending the Foundation Degree course in Counselling at Harrow College.
I also facilitate CPD workshops; of my own creation or of a bespoke nature.
I believe it is the emotional and verbal processing of our thoughts and feelings which takes place during counselling that can have a positive and life changing affect. I also believe that adults who have previously suffered abuse can move forward in counselling in a positive way from being a survivor to becoming a thriver.
I aim to provide a warm, caring and honest environment, to help clients experience growth and change in a positive and fulfilling way.
