Rosemarie White, FCT Solutions
Hello, my name is Rosemarie and I live in North Bucks within easy reach of Milton Keynes, Leighton Buzzard, Aylesbury and parts of Hertfordshire and Northamptonshire . I am a qualified Psychotherapist and Counsellor working integratively with a basis Individual Psychology. I hold a Diploma in Individual Psychology from the Institute of Individual Psychology (IIP) and am a registered member of BACP. I also supervise counsellors and other professionals, including teachers.
For many years I worked in career counselling and life coaching and recognised the various patterns that presented themselves at different stages and phases or life. For example following redundancy many people were unable to move on with their lives until they dealt with issues that they had been too busy to process issues such as loss, bereavement, birth of children, divorce, separation and the effects of illness or disability. When they found themselves with time on their hands and were being asked questions about their lives, wants aspirations etc they had to address these key experiences before they could move on.
A popular time for reviewing a career path is in the early 40s when people are preparing their strategy for the rest of their lives and want to ensure their employability and skills base beyond the traditional retirement dates. This may require looking at their skills base and perhaps deciding that they needed a less stressful role or something which enabled them to express their creativity or talents which were not currently being used.
I decided to do a counselling course in order to be able to fully support my clients and took the diploma in Individual Psychology fully expecting to continue with my career counselling work. The course was experiential and I was required to engage in the process in exactly the way a client would. It changed my life and changed me. I now work with an integrative approach using the Adlerian Lifestyle alongside other tools dependent upon the needs of my clients.
The lifestyle approach works with:
Early Recollections – Memories from as early as you can remember, preferably pre 5 years old. These have to be your own memories and not told stories. Don’t worry if you cannot think of any, they soon come to mind.
Family Constellation – exploring your family of origin, your place in it and how this influences your current situation.
If you have ever found yourself thinking 'I have been here before - why do I keep making the same mistakes?' then understanding your lifestyle will help you to see the choices that you are making that keep leading you to the same result. Armed with this understanding you will be able to make different choices and free yourself from the past.
My methods fit well with both brief and long term therapy. The approach is discussed fully with my client at our first meeting and regularly reviewed to ensure that the work is meeting the clients’ needs.

The Adlerian model also provides a useful framework for understanding behaviours which is particularly useful for teachers and parents when faced by behaviours from their children that they just cannot understand.
I have over 20 years’ experience of employment and career counselling in the commercial world and over 10 years of supporting families. This work has included a wide range of relationship issues alongside other aspects of human life such as bereavement, loss, transition, stress, depression, trauma, anger, anxiety, low self-esteem and many of the other challenges that face us all.
Encouragement in a non-judgmental environment and freedom to explore in a confidential and safe space is what I offer. My counselling room is in a garden, peaceful and tranquil.
I work mainly Monday - Friday and can accommodate daytime and evening appointments. I can also accommodate clients on Saturday mornings.
