Counsellor Profile

I am a fully qualified Independant counsellor and supervisor and at present working towards accreditation. I am a member of BACP and am bound by their ethical framework for good practice. I also hold professional liability insurance, and attend regular supervision ( one and a half hours monthly) for both my counselling and supervision work.
I attend regular training and workshops which I use effectively to enhance both my personal and professional devlopment.

1998 B.A (Hons) 2.1 Sociology Degree, Staffordshire University

!999 Certificate In Counselling, Keele University

2005 Diploma In Counselling Keele University

2006 Post Graduate Certificate In Counselling Supervision.

At present I have my own private practice where I offer both short and long term face to face work. Before this, I worked in the voluntary sector has a counsellor and development officer(5 years)

    My fees are £30 per session, I offer some concessionary rates for students or individuals on low incomes.

    Extra Information

    My own personal ethos is to offer each individual client a safe, supportive and confidential environment. Where a respectful relationship is formed through mutual trust and acceptance between both the counsellor and client. Thus empowering the client to explore and find the best strategy or solution for their own issues or problems through empathy, understanding in a non-judgemental way.
