About me

I AM AVAILABLE FOR SESSIONS VIA VIDEO CALLS USING SKYPE OR ZOOM.

Jungian psychoanalyst (AJA), experienced integrative psychotherapist, clinical supervisor, and author.

I offer short term goal focused psychotherapy for specific issues, and longer term psychotherapy/analysis to work on deeper, more entrenched issues. Jungian psychoanalysis is an explorative process which might require more than one session a week, in which case the fee is generally lower.

Training, qualifications & experience

I have been in private practice for over twenty years, and I also have over twelve years experience of working in hospitals (private and NHS), therapeutic communities, and homeless hostels.

I am a professional member (senior member/training analyst) of the Association of Jungian Analysts (AJA). I originally trained in integrative psychotherapy with the Minster Centre from 1990-96.

I am registered with the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP), and the British Psychoanalytic Council (BCP).
I am a member of the International Association of Analytical Psychology (IAAP).
I hold a diploma in clinical supervision, and an MA in integrative psychotherapy from Middlesex University. I also hold an MA in Jungian and post Jungian studies from the University of Essex.

I am experienced in working with a broad spectrum of conditions and problems which are listed below. I work particularly with eating disorders; abuse whether that has its origin in childhood or an adult experience; childhood neglect; relationship issues including affairs and betrayal; family problems; and personal development at depth.

Member organisations

Registered / Accredited

Registered / Accredited

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

BPC
British Psychoanalytic Council (BPC)

The British Psychoanalytic Council (BPC) is a professional association, representing the profession of psychoanalytic psychotherapy.

The organisation is itself made up of fourteen member organisations and BPC accredits the trainings of its member organisations. An individual who qualifies from one of these trainings is then eligible for entry into the BPC's register.

BPC registrants are governed by a code of ethics, a policy of continuing professional development, a statement on confidentiality and a complaints procedure. The BPC is a Member Society of the European Federation for Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy in the Public Sector (EFPP). Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

UKCP
UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP)

The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) is a leading professional body for the education, training and regulation of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors. Its register is accredited by the government's Professional Standards Authority.

As part of its commitment to protect the public, it works to improve access to psychotherapy, to support and disseminate research, to improve standards and to respond effectively to complaints against its members.

UKCP standards cover the range of different psychotherapies. Registration is obtained by training or accrediting with one of its member organisations, or by holding a European Certificate in Psychotherapy. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
