I am a qualified counsellor working in Beccles from a Person Centred approach, offering a confidential and reliable service
Many people seek counselling for specific life problems and overwhelming emotions, whilst many others have a general or vague sense of unhappiness, or that something is missing from their lives. There are no right or wrong feelings in counselling, all are valid
My aim is to assist people by providing safe, accepting, time and space to explore the issues and anxieties that are causing problems in their lives, and helping them to find the solutions within themselves.
The philosospy behind Person Centred Counselling is that each person has the ability to move towards a more fulfilling and satisfying way of life.Trusting the individual's inner resources to find understanding, direction and answers.
A counsellor/client relationship based on trust, empathic understanding and acceptance is an ideal environment for the process of self-discovery and change.
As it is not possible to predict how many sessions a client will need, I offer an open ended contract. Many people find that between 5 - 10 sessions is sufficient whereas others prefer to continue longer.
I offer an initial session at the reduced rate of £25, so that prospective clients can experience my way of working, and make a decision about future sessions.
Sessions last for 55 minutes and are usually weekly.
Training, Qualifications & Experience
I decided to train as a counsellor 10 years ago after experiencing the benefits of becoming self aware. Life events had led me to seek help for long-standing issues that I hadn't really realised were limiting me until then. The freedom I felt inspired me to continue with my personal growth, and to learn the skills to help others with theirs.

Fees
£35 per 55 minute session (initial session £25)
Reduced rates available for people with low income.
Please note that 24 hours notice is needed for cancellation or change of appointment otherwise the full fee will have to be paid.
