Debbie Greenlee MBACP (accredited)
I have over 9 years post qualification experience and am accredited counsellor who works with individuals and couples on either a short or long term basis.
The counselling I offer helps clients understanding of themselves, their current situation or their relationship, in order to help clients to build self-awareness and confidence. With greater awareness and confidence comes more choice to make alternative or different decisions, to help us stop repeating negative behaviours and allow us to make lasting changes to support ourselves.
I am supportive, warm and accepting as a practitioner and help create the necessary conditions for clients to begin to accept and value themselves.
Each client is unique and therefore I seek to work at a client's individual pace as understand needs and requirements may vary.
Counselling is confidential and I work in a non-judgemental manner, allowing client's to express and explore themselves, their feelings, thoughts and concerns in a safe and comfortable environment.
My private practice is based at home in Aylesbury and is easily accessible by public transport.
As well as a my counselling diploma, I also hold a post graduate certificate in therapeutic play and have an interest in working alongside clients with sand. Working within this way, which is suitable for both adults and children offers clients alternative ways to heal, express and understand themselves.
I am a qualified supervisor who supports other counsellors in their work. I currently work in a supervision capacity privately as well as for Herts Mind Network and Way In, Chesham (youth organisation).

In the event that you are uncertain about my background, training or how counselling can assist or support an individual or couple, then I am happy to speak with potential clients and answer any questions.
I usually suggest that after speaking and if agreeable to us both, we can arrange a mutual assessment session in order to ensure that client(s) are comfortable to work with me, I can answer any questions and can discuss any concerns.
For an individual this assessment session is usually 30-45 minutes and there is no charge levied.
For couples the assessment session is usually 45-60 minutes.
