Counsellor Profile

I am a BACP Senior Accredited Counsellor.
I am an Integrative counsellor and supervisor. I also write and deliver business and personal development workshops and counsellor training.

I have been counselling since 1994 when I trained and worked full-time in counselling at Castle Craig Hospital working with addictions, eating disorders, mental health, gambling and all personal issues - staying on there for 6 1/2 years to become a specialist counsellor, trainer and supervisor. I studied AEB counselling skills and theory from 1995-96, carrying on to AEB Diploma in Integrative Counselling there 1996-97. I studied Reality Therapy (a cognitive/behavioural model) in 1996 and 1997 too. I studied certificates in Abuse & Neglect and Eating Disorders, Stress Management, Assertiveness and Time Management. More recently I have studied Transactional Analysis and Counselling Supervision.
I was employed by a large EAP company to cover Scotland for 2 1/2 years then set up a counselling service for a police force for 2 years before heading up the Health, Care and Counselling department of a large college. I now work in private practice as a counsellor, personal coach and counselling supervisor, I also write and deliver workshops, and training.
