Counsellor Profile

I am a gentle and compassionate counsellor and hypnotherapist who strongly believes in the uniqueness of the individual and in the value of the therapeutic relationship. I can work creatively (eg using art, stones, visualisation, dreams) should clients wish, but sessions are always client led. There is no pressure or expectation.

I provide a safe, supportive, accepting and non judgemental environment where clients can explore their feelings and gradually become more aware of who they truly are. They may then be better able to make changes to their lives or situations or to cope more effectively with that which cannot be changed.

I have Diplomas in Personnel and Development, Humanistic Counselling and Hypnotherapy and have been employed in the mental health voluntary sector for nine years. I am also employed by the NHS as a Smoking Cessation Advisor.

I have additional experience working with drug users, alcoholics and men and women who have been sexually violated.

I have co-facilitated training new volunteers working on a support line for men and women who have been sexually violated. I also train organisations in mental health awareness.

Fees

Counselling - £35 per 60 minute session.
Hypnotherapy (introductory price) - £35 per 90 minute session

'Slimming without Dieting' course - £10 per session

Extra Information

I run a 10 week 'Slimming without Dieting' course at Nineveh in Havant which is based around the principles of hypnotherapy.

I am willing to visit disabled or agoraphobic clients in their own homes.
