Counsellor Profile

I live in a small village just south of Lancaster with my husband and occasionally with my daughter who is at university. As well as my private practice, I also work for the nhs part time as a young persons counsellor, and as a volunteer for the community alcohol team.
I use the person centred model which I believe allows my clients to find there own way through their problems and leaves them with an answer which is right for them.

I qualified with a HE diploma at St Martins College in Lancaster in 2003 and completed my BA Hons in Person Centred Counselling in 2006. I am a BACP Accredited Counsellor working under their ethicall guidelines. I am also a UKRC Registered Independent Counsellor.
I have trained with South Cumbria Rape and Abuse Service, and with the Community Alcohol team. My experience includes working with anxiety, depression, loss, illness, stress, relationship problems, rape, abuse, drug and alcohol concerns and with children.

Fees

For individual counselling I charge £30 per hour, £35 for couples, with the first hour offered free as I believe it is important to see if a working relationship is possible with my clients.
My fees are negotialble, charging a lower rate for students and the unwaged.
