Counsellor Profile
In my 60s, a father of two young adults, brought up in a Methodist household, I now follow an earth based spiritual path; Druidry. After grammar school and university, I went into management. At the age of 40, I became a Total Quality Management facilitator and my life began to change as I found myself helping people to help themselves.
This was the time when I started to look at me. I discovered how I had limited myself as a result of how I responded to happenings in my life. In counselling I explored my beliefs, thoughts and feelings and discovered what I now chose to believe. This freed me to live the life I choose and I can now say that I have a wonderful life, doing things I enjoy.
I am non-judgemental and believe we all start life as good, honest, open and loving individuals. We learn how to behave through our life experiences. This is fine until we find that what we do is no longer what we want to do or we want to change our lives. This is when a counsellor or life coach can help us to find new ways to look at and make sense of our experiences. They can help us to draw on more of our inner resources and find the strength to deal with our situation.
I continue my journey of self development and find this invaluable in helping me to work with other people. I believe you don't have to be poorly to get better; you just have to want to get more out of life.
I work to help you to feel good about yourself, to get in touch with your internal guidance system and to become more confident. I want to help you to get what you really, really want out of life. I am particularly interested in making known "the Secret" and the universal Law of Attraction as a means of helping people to help themselves.
I offer life coaching, brief and long term counselling, non-managerial mentoring and spiritual healing. I am particularly interested in exploring our spiritual dimension. I am a counselling supervisor and a former facilitator of Personal Development, Counselling and Human Relations courses with the Oasis School of Human Relations.
