Profile

Do you want couples counselling or to work on relationship issues? Do you want to come to terms with bereavement or redundancy, or work on low self esteem or low self-confidence? Do you want to work on abuse, anxiety, depression or stress? Is it domestic or work related issues or career counselling that you want? I have successful experience of working with all the above and more. So, phone or e-mail me to arrange a meeting to see if we can work together.

My initial approach is person centred. I can help you to find new ways to look at and make sense of your experiences. I can help you to draw on more of your inner resources and find the strength to deal with your situation. I work to help you to feel good about yourself, to get in touch with your internal guidance system and to become more confident. I want to help you to get what you really, really want out of life.

I believe you don't have to be poorly to get better; you just have to want to get more out of life.

I am non-judgemental. I believe you and I started life as good, honest, open and loving individuals. You did the best you could in each moment and, through your life experiences, you developed your beliefs and coping mechanisms. This was fine until you realised that the way you operated when you were younger is no longer what you want to do in your present day life and now you want to change.

In my 60s and a grandfather with four little girls in my life, I was brought up in a Methodist household, I now follow an earth based spiritual path; Druidry. After grammar school and university, I went into management. At the age of 40, I became a Total Quality Management facilitator and my life began to change as I found myself helping people to help themselves.

This was the time when I started to look at me and discovered how I had limited myself through my responses to happenings in my life. In counselling I explored my beliefs, thoughts and feelings and worked out what I now chose to believe. This freed me to live life my way and enjoy it. I continue my journey of self development and find this invaluable in helping me to work with you.

I offer life coaching and non-managerial mentoring, counselling for individuals and couples counselling . I am predominantly person centred. I am interested in our spirituality. I work holistically, taking account of body, mind, spirit and emotions. I am a counselling supervisor and a former facilitator of Personal Development, Counselling and Human Relations courses with the Oasis School of Human Relations.
