Hi- I have over 12 years of experience as a Counsellor/Psychotherapist, working in Private Practice with both Individuals and Couples. I specialize in Relationships, loss/ bereavement,stress, anxiety, depression and low self esteem.
I am a BACP Accredited Counsellor
and a UKRCP Registered Independent Counsellor/Psychotherapist.
This means that my practice has been deemed to meet the standards for a competent, ethical and independent practitioner.
MY PRACTICE INCLUDES:
INDIVIDUAL COUNSELLING
£30-£35 per 50 minute session.
Counselling is a talking therapy which allows you to deal with specific life situations or "deeper" issues from past experiences which are still causing distress.
I work with people struggling with anger, anxiety, stress, depression and low self esteem or low confidence and I have done extra training in bereavement, grief and loss.
(Student Counsellors- £25 per session-I am familiar with both the person centred approach and integrative training).
COUPLE COUNSELLING
£40-£45 per 50 minute session.
Working with couples to make changes to build on their relationship when they are unable to contain some of life's pressures and stresses such as break down in communication, addictions, bereavements, illness, infidelity etc
SEPARATION AND DIVORCE - For individuals or couples:
Individuals £30-£35 per 50 minute session
Couples £40-£45 per 50 minute session
Understanding issues such as:
"What went wrong or is going wrong and why?"
"Can the relationship be rebuilt?"
"Would it be healthier to leave it behind?".
Processing your feelings can help to minimize bitterness and allows the couple or individual to take a measured overview so that a final decision can be made with confidence.
Can also be used to learn ways of negotiating conflict for discussing issues such as children and finances. This is important for your long-term chance of happiness either together or apart.
I have a limited number of daytime appointments at concessionary rates for both individuals and couples who are on a restricted income. Please call me for details.
SUPERVISION-
CLINICAL SUPERVISION- £40 per hour.
I offer Clinical Supervision to Counsellors, psychotherapists and other helping professionals.
Supervision is from an Integrative Approach- Humanistic, Person Centred/ Psychodynamic framework.
( Student counsellors/ newly qualified counsellors-£25 per hour)
LOCATION OF PRACTICE:
My private consulting room is at present, mainly within a Therapeutic centre called Mind Body & Soul.
The Centre is modern and fresh and only a 5 minute drive from town and the A12,
with a private car park for your convenience.
It is also on a main bus route from town, with a 5 minute walk from the nearest bus stop.
Most of my clients are self-referrals although I take referrals from various Counselling Agencies, Charities, Companies and GP's.
Armed Forces and their families are also most welcome.
Daytime, Evening or Saturday appointments (according to availability).
