Counsellor Profile

I am an experienced, accredited counsellor and counselling supervisor. I also head a university department which trains counsellors. My first book, Counselling Skills for Dummies, was published in September 2007.

I co-own Cornerstone Counselling and Therapy Centre where our Associates work with a wide variety of individual, couple and family issues. All of the therapists are vetted and are trained and experienced.

My own particular interests are in couple/relationship counselling including sexual therapy (for individuals and couples of any orientation) and EMDR which helps with symptoms following trauma. B.Sc., M.Sc., CQSW, Relate Cert. Couple Counselling, Relate Dip. Psychosexual Therapy, Relate Cert. Supervision, EMDR training.

BASRT Accredited, UKCP Registered.

I have over 25 years experience of counselling and about 15 years of supervision and counsellor training, but there is always more to learn, so I regularly do further training and attend conferences.
