At time of publishing (March-Oct 09) we meet the requirements needed to use the titles of counsellor and psychotherapist although a more accurate description would be "solution focused holistic therapists". Stuart specialises in holistic transwpersonal psychology with a focus on Eastern psychology and psychoanalysis (analysis, mindfulness, Morita, Naikan etc), He also used CBT and hypnotherapy on a regular basis. Denise specialises in counselling support and life coaching for women. We are dedicated to BSc and MSc level ongoing training and the highest level of standards in our service provision.

We are concerned about the potential restriction on the use of eclectic and intuitive methods in the event of HPC regulation and therefore at this time (April 09) are AGAINST the HPC state statutory regulation of counselling and psychotherapy. (We are IN FAVOUR of appropriate state regulation).

If future HPC definitions of the job roles psychotherapist and counsellor prove restrictive and prohibit certain useful models of therapy (like transpersonal, Eastern and Coaching) we may cease using these titles in order to continue offering a diverse and comprehensive range of therapies to our clients. For now Stuart is a NACHP and NCP registered psychotherapist and ISPC registered counsellor, Denise is a CCC registered counsellor, SHTC registered coach and CMTA complementart therapist. Both therapists are associate members of the International Institute of Psychologists.
