Counsellor ProfileI got into therapy because in working one to one with dyslexic clients I discovered I needed more skills to address emotional issues connected with dyslexia and ADD. I then became fascinated with therapy work. Human Givens Therapy aims to be solution focussed and forward looking. It is based on recent research on the brain and how it works. It is a Human Given that we all have emotional needs and the resources to get those needs met. If these needs are not met or we misuse our resources, emotional health suffers. I work with clients who have a broad spectrum of issues including anxiety, depression, phobias, traumas, anger issues, addiction, relationship problems and OCD. I also work with children and teenagers and have a special interest in creating and using stories.
