Welcome to I Am Counselling Services, providing sensitive mental health assessment and counselling, talking therapy and treatment advice out-of-hours. Professional, friendly and effective services are offered to private clients and organisations in Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire and Luton.

Dr Iqbal was born and bred in London. He trained at University College London Medical School (UCL) to become a fully qualified medical doctor. He chose to specialise in his interests of psychiatry, psychotherapy and counselling (talking therapies and treatment). He continues to diagnose, care for, support and treat people as a respected NHS Psychiatrist in Luton and Bedfordshire. He has a decade of NHS experience. He is currently a locum Consultant Psychiatrist treating people of working age (General Adult Psychiatry). He is also a qualified Human Givens Psychotherapist using a more holistic (biological, psychological, social and spiritual) approach to mental health and wellbeing.

Dr Iqbal has full registration with the General Medical Council and is indemnified by the Medical Protection Society. He is a graduate member of the Human Givens Institute as well as a member of the Medical Advisory Board of the Human Givens Foundation. He has an Enhanced Disclosure Certificate from the Criminal Records Bureau (CRB).
