Profile

I offer counselling, cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), life coaching and performance coaching. I am happy to explore any issues that you may wish to bring and have previously worked with many different issues including depression, anxiety, adoption issues, low self-esteem and confidence, trauma, bereavement, discrimination, prejudice, relationship issues, distress and addictions.

I graduated with an Honours Degree in Psychology and completed my Postgraduate Diploma in Counselling at Goldsmith's College, University of London. I am also qualified in Performance and Life Coaching. This has given me a unique working style in that I can work with the issues from the past and their impact on the present and also explore with the client ways of moving forward in a positive and empowering way.

  • Other areas of counselling I deal with

I specialise in sexuality, gender, self-esteem, confidence, relationships, prejudice and discrimination, anxiety and depression but am happy to explore any issues that you wish to bring.

I also offer cognitive behaviour therapy. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is based on the idea that our thoughts determine our feelings and our behavior. Therefore, negative - and unrealistic - thoughts can cause us distress and result in problems and challenging these thoughts can enable us to break 'cycles' of behaviour, improve self-esteem and confidence and have better relationships with others.

I am also a trained adoption counsellor (through LINK) and am happy to work with any issues around adoption.

I believe that self-awareness and personal growth can empower and enable people to live the lives they wish to live.

I will aim to help you reach your own understanding of difficulties and support you in finding your own ways of dealing with them thus facilitating your own change and/or healing process.
