Profile

I have 19 years experience, that is to say over 6000 client hours, of counselling in institutions and private practice .

I see individuals, aged 16 and over, for time-limited and long-term work. Sessions last 50 minutes.

I am a senior accredited BACP counsellor, a member of UKRCP and have a  consulting room in my own home.

I work in a relational way, drawing upon Psychodynamic and Attachment Theory, to explore with clients their past, earliest relationships to those of the present day, thereby seeking to understand how we become the people we are and how we relate to others.

By establishing a confidential,trusting relationship in an environment of acceptance and empathy, I then work together with the client towards finding  a better way to function and to achieve a greater degree of satisfaction or happiness in their life.
