    Extra Information

The first meeting is an opportunity for us to meet and exchange information. Information can be explored so that you are clear about the contract that will be in place in order for the work to proceed. In this meeting I will ask you about your background and what your expectations are of therapy. This information will be treated as confidential. Decisions to continue or terminate our work can be taken at this stage.

Sessions last for 50 minutes; this is your time to discuss your issues, whatever is worrying you, in your own way. You are free to disclose as little or as much as you feel comfortable with. Ideally we meet once a week, particularly at the start of counselling when we are getting to know each other. At a later stage some clients choose to come fortnightly as they begin to feel the benefit of the therapy.

I also offer consultancy and training in delivering groupwork programmes.

I deliver training in: Effective Communication; Anger Management; Emotional Wellbeing: Assertive Skills: Managing Conflict: Self Esteem; Stress Management; Parenting Skills.
