About me
As an experienced and accredited Human Givens Therapeutic Coach, I can support you in making the changes you wish for.
At some point in life many of us feel overwhelmed by life's challenges. These can either be events in our life or our inner struggles. At such times in can be difficult to see solutions, recognises choices or feel confident to overcome fears. This is when I can help you to gain personal insight, self-acceptance, confidence and the knowledge and skills that enable emotional well-being and resilience.
I am collaborative and empathetic and you can explore the changes you wish to make in a safe and confidential space.
Training, qualifications & experience
I work with adolescents and adults and I have a broad range of experience across a range of issues but in particular: anxiety,panic, phobia, depression and trauma. I also work with couples and individuals to resolve relationship and sexual problems.
I am an accredited Human Givens Practitioner (Member of the Human Givens Institute and a Fusion Therapeutic Coach (NCFE accredited).
I also hold a Master of Science and a Bachelor of Science (Econ)
I have full indemnity insurance, enhanced DBS disclosure and am registered with the Commissioner for information for data protection.
I have had a lifelong interest in health and well-being and after a career in nursing I have held senior roles as a policy adviser and management consultant working with organisations to create healthy and supportive workplaces in which people reach their full potential.
Member organisations
The Human Givens Institute (HGI) is both a membership organisation and a professional body representing the interests of those in the caring and teaching professions who have an interest in or utilise the human givens approach. Counselling Directory register Registered Members (MHGI) and Fellow Members (FHGI), who will have completed the Post Graduate Practitioner's Assessment (Part III) and who are fully qualified to practise as a human givens therapist or counsellor. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
