If you are considering counselling or psychotherapy, you will have a unique reason for doing so. Whatever this is, it is likely that your situation it is not how you would like it to be. I am an experienced Counsellor and Psychotherapist, and I can help you to find ways to turn this around.
I have a Masters Degree in Relationship Therapy, and my professional training is integrative. This enables me to work within different theoretical models, as appropriate. In my experience, there is no “one size fits all” therapy and I will work with you to see how best to help you to understand your relationships; achieve your goals, and live your life to your full potential.
I offer you a professional, confidential and safe space, in which to work, within "Riverside Wellbeing" in the High Peak (www.riversidewellbeing.com)
I work in accordance with the BACP Ethical Framework. The British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) is the professional organisation that has accredited my practice.
Training, qualifications & experience
After working for many years in counselling, support and guidance, I qualified in the year 2000 with a University Diploma in Counselling. Since then I have worked in a variety of settings as a professional Counsellor, including:
Counselling Supervisor for Channel 4;
Mental Health Advisor for National Mind
Counsellor and Consultant for an Occupational Health company.
Counsellor in Secondary Schools, for both students and staff.
I now have a placement with RELATE, for couple and family counselling, and I am currently studying for a Masters Degree in Relationship Therapy.
For the first 13 years I ran my private, from my room in a dentist's surgery. I now work from my own premises "Riverside Wellbeing", alongside other colleagues, in this dedicated professional setting for health related therapies. We opened in October 2013.
