About me

TALK YOURSELF WELL: It's good to talk when you're going through tough times.

I am passionate about helping people to achieve "Emotional Health and Wellbeing".

Gain a clearer understanding of yourself and discover a different and more positive way of thinking, feeling and behaving. Counselling helps you to unravel your own personal life experiences and develop better ways of coping. Results can be achieved in as little as 3-8 sessions.

Counselling can be a way of dealing with problems and reducing stress. It provides you with an opportunity to talk to someone who is trained to listen to your thoughts and feelings in a none judge-mental atmosphere. It also allows you to explore problems and issues leading to a better understanding and acceptance.

Testimonials:

Dear Pauline.

Thank you very much for taking me on as a client! You have made a huge difference in my life and I am so glad that I found you.

You are a true expert in what you do but so welcoming and easy to talk to with it!....

How beautiful to be able to touch someone's life in such a meaningful way.Thank you for helping me to feel much happier inside. It filters through to the children in many ways and it makes me smile so much. But above all thank you for being you for your warmth and your welcoming nature. Human connection is so powerful and I am really grateful for my time with you. I feel just at the beginning of a journey and that feels so exciting.

"One thing is for sure, that when you really need some help-help will show up. Pauline picked me up, dusted me down and pointed me in the right direction-she was essential to my recovery process. Punctual and professional, kind and caring.
I would wholeheartedly recommend Paulines' services, whether you're in deep, or just need a nudge in the right direction.
Really couldn't have done it without you"

Pauline, whatever compelled me to get in touch with you back in March, I'm just so glad I did. Full of appreciation for your understanding and patience that is helping me feel more comfortable and connected with me, others, and life generally. These new smiles run much deeper, priceless, thank you x...

For little insights that help shift perspectives, for simple aids that help turn around negativity and for encouragement that helps build self belief. I might struggle for words and confidence to describe it but I can feel the value of all of those things and it means a lot to me :-)

" To Pauline.
I was sitting  in a dark filled room, searching for an outlet.
Today I sit before a window in a light filled room; the door is visible.
Walk through and there’s even more to see.
Now I believe I am able.
Thank you"

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
