About me

Are you feeling down?

Struggling with life events from anxiety or low mood? Feel overwhelmed with fears or stressed out from life or relationship issues or over drinking?

I am trained in life coaching and have a specialised programme that is only accessible for 2 people for a period of 4 months  - This is usually achieved over zoom as it is an intense programme usually accessed by entrepreneurs or high-end management. This is accessible with two extensive zooms first.

I have 20 years of experience and offer affordable constructive, down-to-earth therapy in the comfort of my purpose-built studio in Standish Wigan or by Zoom in your own home or office - some of my clients prefer to go somewhere private like in their cars.

My Experience:  Please see the full list of issues below

I work with couples and individuals who want to change their life, as I believe you know there are solutions to everything if you are given the respect, space and support from a trusted understanding but professional therapist. I offer affordable, gentle and solution-focused techniques that are proven to work.

If you are open to looking from outside your own beliefs and thought processes then you can be set free from your own negative fear-based cycles.

I am qualified professionally in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Person-centred Counselling, Psychodynamic Psychotherapy, NLP Couple Therapy and Mindfulness.

Having specialised in many areas,  including Anxiety & Depression, work-related problems, Drink and Drug Misuse, Bereavement & Couple Counselling - I support clients with passion and quirky honesty.

I run Mindfulness programs for individuals & groups and have trained with Oxford and Bangor University.

I've worked in drink and drug treatment centres, the homeless, and the public sector. It's a deep privilege to be part of the therapeutic process, where clients arrive with difficulties, who eventually evolve, and are enlightened in themselves, reaching a positive sense of well-being.

I am grounded, real and spontaneous, with a sense of warmth and humour, clients work at their own pace, and I encourage positive change and offer alternative ideas to problems, so you can choose individual and specific solutions to meet your needs.

I also work within the NHS (not in the Wigan Trusts) which has given me a depth of knowledge working in this public care environment.

Whatever your problem, give me a ring now, for an informal chat, or text (078 0800 9978) or send an email outlining your issues and your contact details, and when you're available to ring back.

EAP or organisations need to contact me for fees. - Thank you

Member organisations

Registered / Accredited

Registered / Accredited

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
