About me

Are you feeling down, overwhelmed, alone, sad, angry or anxious? Have you experienced the loss of a loved one? Are you going through a difficult time. Do you feel you are struggling to function each day?

Then it can help to reach out for counselling.

I offer a professional and safe counselling service where you can share and reflect on your challenging thoughts and feelings.  Sometimes it is difficult to do that with those closest to you.

As a counsellor I can give you time to be listened to and heard and for you to speak your thoughts and feelings around grief, stressful life events, relationships, difficulties at work or challenging life transitions and how it might be effecting how you feel whether that is depressed, anxious, numb, sad, angry, stressed, fatigued or simply burnt out.

I work with clients who  experience a range of issues, including but not limited to, the pain of the loss of a loved one, depression, anxiety, the challenges of home and work life, feeling overwhelmed or stressed.

What I can offer you is warmth, time, honesty and a non-judgmental space for you to be heard and for you to feel enabled and empowered to start to unravel the difficulties you are experiencing.

I provide counselling in a peaceful and tranquil garden room.  A calm and serene space for you to gain perspective on your individual situation and to consider what possible changes you may want to achieve.

If you are struggling right now, please reach out to me.  You can contact me by email or phone and I look forward to receiving your enquiry.

Testimonial

"Jenny is a great listener - patient, friendly, professional and non-judgmental.  She helped me discover my voice and find my confidence in my own time.  Jenny listened to my thoughts and feelings, and allowed me to come to my own conclusions, with guidance and supportive feedback where needed"

I am an integrative counsellor which means I draw upon a variety of therapy models that would be unique for your situation but mainly practice as a person-centred counsellor.  I can also offer counselling online via zoom. I look forward to hearing from you.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
