Cristina La Cara PG Dip MBACP Registered/Accredited
26 Tongdean Lane
I have nearly 10 yrs experience of working with mental health issues. I am very passionate about what I do and my work practice is focused on offering a safe and confidential space in which clients can talk about their struggles and anything else that you wish to explore. I have experience of working short and long term using a variety of techniques, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy.
My area of expertise is working with people that have suffered depression and anxiety.
I usually carry out a thorough assessment during which we would identify the main areas that you would like to focus on and on this basis we would agree on an initial counselling contract to be reviewed at some point in the process.
I have a lot of experience of working with people from different cultural backgrounds and I can also offer counselling in italian.
I am an accredited member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy and I abide by their code of ethics and practice.
I offer a discounted initial consultation to give you the opportunity to find out a bit more about the way I work and decide if counselling is the right for you at this time.
