Cathy Bailey MBACP, Postgraduate Diploma in Counselling
Hello, would you like a space to talk?
Explore what is going on and any changes you'd like to make in a warm, safe environment in private therapy with me.
I am a fully qualified BACP registered counsellor, who will blend humanistic, CBT and psychodynamic theories into our work.
Tel: 07916 402675
What will the counselling involve?
We will create a space for you in which we can explore your world without me giving you advice or telling you what to do. I will listen actively, keeping an open-mind. I will challenge you gently, helping us both understand what is going on. We may look at cycles of thoughts, feelings and behaviours that are no longer useful or help you change unwanted reoccurring patterns in relationships. You may just want space to talk about difficult experiences and feelings such as sadness, guilt and anger. You may want to work towards a specific outcome or you may have an idea something isn't right, but not know what it is. We can work out what you want from counselling and tailor your sessions to get this.
How much does it cost?
£45 per session or £249 for a block of six sessions. You may pay by cash, cheque at each session, or by credit card or Paypal in advance of the session.
How many sessions?
One of the benefits of private therapy is that we can be flexible to your needs. Sometimes people may just want one or two sessions. Often six sessions will be of benefit for short-term work and we can have sessions on a long-term basis if you would like to work at deeper level or would like on-going support. We can see what you want from counselling and end when you feel like you've got to where you want to be.
Is this for you?
Coming to counselling can be a difficult decision and yet a positive step towards change. Sometimes people are unsure whether counselling is right for them and I will welcome enquiries by phone or email if you'd like to discuss how working together will be beneficial for you before arranging your first session.
