I have been training and working in the field of counselling and self development since 2001 and draw not only on my training but also on my personal ongoing experience of change and development.
One aspect that builds a strong foundation in my work and on this journey is that of a non-judgemental listening space where individual truth is at the forefront. Many approaches help, personally I frame my work in humanistic (the importance of the relationship), psychodynamic (the importance of the past) and transpersonal theories (the importance of compassionate holistic contemplation) as well as in mindfulness giving scope to find a way that caters for the individual need and works alongside personality traits.
Alongside one to one and couples counselling, I facilitate personal and spiritual development groups.
I work in Warminster, Bath and Salisbury offering evening and Saturday appointments.
Training, qualifications & experience
I have successfully completed a Batchelor of Arts with the Open University, hold an Advanced Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling, as well as holding a Certificate in Holistic Spiritual Companionship. I participate in professional development workshops on a regular basis and currently develop my expertise in the field of couples counselling.
I have in the past worked alongside the NHS counselling service in surgeries and tutored Counselling courses at Wiltshire College. I am now focussing on expanding my private practice and workshop events.
In May 2011 I have been accredited by the BACP.
