Sue Allen - Diploma Counselling : Registered Member BACP
The Therapy Rooms
3 Park Street
I am a qualified and experienced counsellor practising in Macclesfield (close to the town centre) where I offer confidential non-judgemental counselling to individuals and couples.
During my 16 years qualification I have worked with people of all ages and covering a range of issues, including relationship difficulties, anxiety and depression, anger and hurt, low self esteem and loss of confidence; and that sense of feeling "stuck" and unable to move on.
I trained and qualified (2001) as an Integrative Person Centred counsellor and my approach to counselling is "non-directive" and although advice is not given it is my sincere aim to create and develop a constructive dialogue between us.
People decide to seek counselling for different reasons in difficult and challenging times in their lives or perhaps when feeling isolated or alone. It is during these times that counselling can help us to find a way through by sharing and exploring such concerns in a safe and non-judgemental space. Counselling offers a place where we can explore our feelings and behaviour and to try to make sense of them and, this in turn, can enable us to make changes to enable us to live in a way that is more satisfying and resourceful.
On the basis that we are different and unique my aim is to tailor the number of sessions to what will suit each individuals needs. Therefore, we can agree a number of sessions to begin with or work in an open ended way.
