About me

I work with individuals, couples and children. I also work with families, to assist with relationship  breakdowns and any other problems they may be experiencing.

The type of therapy I use to help you is intervention, using different models to guide you through understanding of your present situation. These models are CBT, Person Centred, Psychodynamics and Transactional Analysis, which all allow a personal therapy plan that is best for you.

I also Use EFT and EMDR for Anxiety Depression Addictions and PTSD

I have worked with many clients, who present different types of issues including Abuse, Depression, Anxiety & Panic Attacks, Confidence - Low Self Esteem and Self Worth, Relationship Difficulties, Issues from Childhood, Bereavement, Illness, Alcohol and Drug Addiction.

My specialties are:

  • Depression
  • Anger Management
  • Bereavement
  • All Types of relationship problems (both couple and individual)
  • Stress, Anxiety, and Panic Attacks
  • Addictions
  • OCD
  • Eating Disorders.

I give my clients a safe, confidential place, to express then explore issues that stem from  thoughts, feelings and behaviours. I help them work through their issue, assisting them to learn and understand, who they are and who they want to become.
They gain new insights to the reasons they felt out of sorts, which then enables them to move forward in their life with a more positive outlook.

Sometimes the need to talk to someone is often thought about, but not always followed through. It can be very difficult to talk to a partner, family member or friend about things that are affecting us.
We hold ourselves back, from expressing how we really feel, from fear of being a burden or causing worry to them or in some cases, fear of making the problem worse.

Contacting me may feel daunting and a large step to take, but it may well be the best thing you ever did.
Many people think contacting a counsellor means they've failed. This isn't so, they've just asked for help from someone who is qualified in all issues there to help and is neutral to their concerns.

A counselling session takes place, in a specially allocated room in my private practise. Complete confidentiality is given and my clients feel they can express without feeling judged in any way. I'm a very emphatic, supportive, understanding person, someone you can trust.

I encourage my clients to talk at their own pace, only touching on areas they feel comfortable discussing at the time. I also encourage my clients, to explore their concerns.

I trained at college, reaching Diploma levels in all my therapy qualifications. I attend new courses to extend my knowledge, in order for me to bring useful tools of therapy, to the assistance of each of my clients. I enjoy the challenge in finding the answer to any given situation we find ourselves going through.

I am on the panel of the Excalibur Legal Service helping their clients to overcome road traffic accidents or work related accidents.
Also the panel of Moving Minds Organisation, which is an independent organisation specialising in the psychological issues related to trauma and absence from work. I help assess and treat their clients.
The type of counselling I often use in these situations are CBT and Transactional Analysis and also EFT and EMDR Therapies, which clients find very rewarding and encourages them to move towards the path to being themselves again.
