Vanessa Blackmore (MBACP) - Counselling and Pyschotherapy
Life can be wonderful, but it can be a real challenge too. At times like this we might not feel able to turn to family or friends for support. Or if we do talk to others they often have their own opinions on what is best for us. This can be very confusing, and can leave us feeling more upset and stuck.
Counselling provides you with a safe, confidential space, where you will be heard by someone who knows how to really listen in a way that is focused on you. We will explore what is troubling you, and we will look at the ways of thinking, feeling and behaving that are no longer helpful to you. The counselling space also gives you a place where you can experiment with new ways of being. People find a course of counselling is an effective aid to discovering new possibilities for themselves. Counselling also can increase emotional-resilience, self-understanding, and improved capacities for vitality and intimacy.
Counselling can help you move beyond
- panic and anxiety
- low self esteem
- bereavement and other types of loss
- lack of direction or feeling stuck
- difficult life transitions
- relationship problems
I am an experienced therapist and a Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP). My professional training has been extensive over the past 12 years.
