Emma Haynes MSc UKCP PTSTA CTA
I am a psychotherapist in the Winchester area providing psychotherapy or counselling, if it is more appropriate, to individuals, couples and families about many different issues (see below for a full list). Although I am happy to work with any issue, I am particularly interested in bonding, attachment, relationship issues and perinatal depression, stress and anxiety. I work with couples and families who are having relationship difficulties or family issues and parents who are struggling with postnatal depression and parent infant bonding(both mums and dads) . I have many years experience working with trauma clients and use EMDR and body psychotherapy with such clients. I also have a great deal of experience of working with anxiety, addiction, depression, eating disorders and psychological or physical trauma and I work psychologically to help people suffering from chronic pain or fear after serious injury.
My aim is to enable a client(s) to begin to discover who they really are, to work with them to enhance their life choices, and to help them through their particular anxieties, trauma or events that have had a negative impact on their life. I also have experience of working as a Family Mediator with couples, although I no longer offer this as a service.
The biggest joy in my work is to see a client regain their mojo and begin to improve their self worth, enhancing the way they feel about themselves and others and also enabling them to achieve greater success in their working life, their relationships, their chosen sport (if that's applicable) and in their personal life. I work in a relational way using Transational Analysis.
