I have developed my approach to offer emotional intelligence and skills that can help anyone dissolve their anxiety and breakthrough their depression. My way of working enables my clients to understand how to retrain their brain and choose better thoughts to stop any overwhelming feelings.
Distress, upset, anxiety and depression can feel extremely overwhelming and difficult to see a way out. Therapy provides a way out with my objectivity and the clients' subjectivity which come together and create a collaboration; in essence we join the dots together and see the bigger picture This enables the client to understand their thoughts, feelings and behaviours, this reduces fear and uncertainty and increases inner safety. The exploration of the clients' inner world in a safe non-judgemental space will allow the possibility to work towards resolving the distress rather than avoiding, masking or managing it.
I firmly believe the Emotional Intelligence is the key to reducing anxiety, depression and feeling constantly overwhelmed by life. I have seen significant improvements in clients well-being with only a few sessions when they become more emotionally literate and understand why they are feeling so low and out of control. My way of therapy helps your head to understand your heart so that breaking improve your mood and overall happiness. Difficult feelings are red flags that something inside is NOT OK, when you understand what is going on and make positive changes, the red flag disappears with the difficult feelings.
Once this process of resolution is complete, it is inevitable that self-confidence, self-management and self-esteem are increased. This means that counselling and therapy affect not only your present but also your future. It also ensures that your past does not dictate your present and your future; which is vital for emotional and psychological balance and health.
I also offer Couple Counselling and I have a very high success rate in couples therapy and mediation, even the ones that had already contacted solicitors. Marriage comes with no manual on how to create a good marital team once the honeymoon is over. It is important to explore communication styles and individual needs of each spouse and to resolve any long held issues. I can create the safe space for any couple in difficulty (even near divorce) to explore, own and resolve the negative issues present and allow the marriage to evolve towards a team.
