Susie Burnby BSc (Hons) Registered MBACP Counsellor and Supervisor
Hello, I wonder how I can help you? I am a friendly and highly qualified counsellor, working with individuals in a safe and accepting environment. I am able to help with a wide range of issues and understand that choosing a counsellor can seem daunting, particularly when you may already be feeling unhappy or worried.
I have experience working with clients of all ages and offer both short or longer term work. I work at my home office in Great Bromley (CO7), within easy reach of Colchester, Clacton, Harwich, Ipswich and surrounding areas. Appointments are available between 8am and 3pm.
We all wish for a good life, but when we experience problems such as bereavement, anxiety, depression, stress, anger or relationship difficulties it can be difficult to know what to do for the best. I work with each client as an individual and offer counselling free from judgement or expectation. Working in partnership, we can explore together what is troubling you or holding you back in life. I believe that you ultimately know what is right for you, and aim to help you to explore your difficulties realistically and empathically, so that you feel better able to live your life as you wish.
I work with adults and young people in a holistic way, tailoring counselling to suit each client's needs. In addition to traditional talking therapy, I also offer creative therapies for clients who find it hard to talk about their problems. My approach is intuitive and I believe that our unconscious mind is a powerful influence, both positive and negative, on our lives. Carl Jung said "That which we do not bring to consciousness appears in our lives as fate" and I help clients explore these unconscious patterns and to bring about understanding and change.
I also offer a unique set of workshops on the theme The Wonder of Life. There are various topics covered at each workshop and my aim is to provide a truly transformative experience using the healing power of nature, work with our Energy Body and the Chakras, food as a natural and powerful medicine, and mindfulness and guided visualisation to harness the wisdom of our unconscious mind. The workshops and information I share are the ideal antidote to a stressful or busy life, and are restorative and supportive, and the practices and learning can be easily incorporated into your daily life. The workshops each last approximately 5 hours with healthy snacks provided. Each workshop is available to groups of up to 4 people at a fee of £65 per person.
Counselling really can help you to live a happier, more fulfilling life so please don't hesitate to contact me to find out more.
