About me

As an integrative psychotherapeutic counsellor I offer a patient and open approach to counselling. For problems such as depression and anxiety, or problems with relationships, Integrative Counselling provides an holistic approach to counselling that embraces humanistic, psychoanalytical, and cognitive models of counselling to offer a talking therapy that respects the individuality of the client.

I also offer the option of Mindful CBT which is a way of working with some issues and suits individuals who wish to follow a more structured approach to therapy. The mindful approach to CBT emphasises the concept of the "compassionate mind" that the model seeks to develop in the client when exploring the issues that give rise to distress.

I provide peaceful rooms, with nearby parking, in the village of Banham which is a short distance from Diss and Attleborough. I also practice at the Norwich Wellbeing Clinic, Chapelfield, Norwich. I also offer sessions over Skype or FaceTime or, occasionally, in the client's own home.

Counselling for individuals

Working at your pace I offer space, time and non-judgmental understanding to help you explore issues that give rise to:

  • Depression and anxiety
  • Relationship difficulties
  • Workplace stress
  • Feelings that things are just not right for you

Counselling for the workplace

The value of counselling extends beyond emotional crisis and can help you to examine your goals in life. Counselling can be used to help organisations and individuals work with differences and to resolve frictions that occur in the workplace. As an independent counsellor I work with individuals and organisations and count among my past and present clients senior managers from the retail, technology and commercial sectors.

  • Career coaching
  • Coping with redundancy and career changes
  • Abuse
  • Anger in the workplace

As a registered practitioner with Aviva Healthcare Insurance, I am able to offer counselling to those who have psychological therapies included in their cover. Ask you scheme administrator or phone for details.

I hold regular wellbeing workshops, including:

  • Managing anger with mindfulness
  • Coping with stress
  • Pure relaxation
