About me

Hi I'm Sue  I know that it can be a bit daunting looking for someone to work with but you've made a start, if it would help to ask a few questions without obligation,  please feel free to telephone or email and hopefully I can help you decide if I am the right person for you to work with.

I have 30 + years of experience working as a full time Psychotherapist and also offer Life-Coaching which can help you to create positive change in your life.

My main area of expertise is in working with anxiety, panic attacks and general anxiety, whether that's performance related or just generally trying to get through the day I would like to think I can help you with that.

I am dedicated to empowering and inspiring clients to be more comfortable in their skins.

UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP)

The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) is a leading professional body for the education, training and regulation of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors. Its register is accredited by the government's Professional Standards Authority.

As part of its commitment to protect the public, it works to improve access to psychotherapy, to support and disseminate research, to improve standards and to respond effectively to complaints against its members.

UKCP standards cover the range of different psychotherapies. Registration is obtained by training or accrediting with one of its member organisations, or by holding a European Certificate in Psychotherapy. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

Further information

Like all industries and professions, development in mental health has seen an explosion in understanding the connection between the mind and emotions.

I had the good fortune many years ago to train with some of the biggest names in personal development and healing and use an amazing technique that brings rapid changes and is goal oriented, basically you'll get what you came for in a session.  I am as excited today as I was in 1991 when I learned the technique and remain enthusiastic to share it to help people make significant changes in their lives.

If you suffer from anxiety and stress you might find the blogs at www.thestresshacker.com helpful.  If you need some immediate help, I've created some free audio downloads and relaxation programmes to help you.

Susan Smith is also registered with Life Coach Directory.
