Juliet Rosenfeld MBACP UKCP
Hello, thank you for looking at my entry.
Please read a bit about what I offer here and feel free to contact me if you would like to know more.
I am a UKCP accredited psychotherapist and a member of the BACP.
I work in Hampstead opposite the Heath in a quiet and comfortable practice with parking in the drive way. There are also easy travel links with Hampstead Heath overground station less than a minute away and equidistant tubes in Hampstead and Belsize Park - around a 12-15 minute walk from me.
Over the years I have found that generally people come to talk to me about relationship issues, from the present and the past, and also to try and understand what is getting in the way of living a life free from anxiety and depression.
I work with adults on an individual basis in a psychodynamic way. I am interested in what kinds of relationships you have with yourself and others and looking at how your childhood experience and attachments to parents, family and others can determine the kind of life you find yourself leading as an adult.
I like to work long term with people as I believe that change takes time, but I am happy to work on a time limited basis if that is appropriate for the treatment. It depends what is right for you, and what you feel you need.
I charge from £90 per session.
I offer appointments between 10am and 6pm and will endeavour to find a time to fit with your working day, as I know that getting to therapy can be very challenging for those working full time and/or caring for children.
Training, qualifications & experience
I have an MA from Oxford and have been working and training in mental health since 2004. I underwent a 4 year clinical degree - culminating in a Post Graduate Diploma in Psychotherapy and Counselling and an Advanced Diploma in Integrative Psychotherapy from Regent's College of Psychotherapy.
Prior to this I spent three years at the Tavistock and Portman NHS Trust, where I began my training.
I am particularly experienced in issues relating to cancer, terminal illness and its effects on the family and the individual, as well as separation and divorce.
In addition I have a special interest in psychological impacts on individuals and couples choosing fertility treatments.
I undertake constant professional development training and supervision.
I am a Patron of Camden Psychotherapy Unit where I worked for 5 years as an honorary psychotherapist before setting up my own therapy practice in Central London and am involved in campaigning for improved mental health provision and access.

If you decide to contact me I will normally suggest a brief phone call to ascertain where things are for you and get a sense of how you are feeling. I will endeavour to make this happen within 24 hours of receiving your email.
If we both feel after this it would be useful to meet where possible I will offer you a 1.5 hr initial consultation although sometimes we may not be able to find a mutual time to meet in which case I will endeavour to find a 50 minute session within the week. If this is not possible it will certainly be the following week. I understand that once you have made contact with a therapist you probably want to meet them.
The cost of a 1.5 hour consultation is £150, a 50 minute consultation is £100.
My fees will start at £90 ( on a sliding scale) per subsequent session. I am afraid I have no low fee places available at the moment.
Following an initial consultation - or sometimes several consultation meetings - we could decide to meet on an ongoing basis, in which case we would find a regular time to meet for our session.
However, I also work on a short term consultative basis where there is something more specific to think about which you and I do not feel requires a longer term commitment to therapy. This can also be a good way of deciding if therapy is the right choice for you at this point in your life or perhaps something you would like to come back to at a later stage. I believe in keeping the door open for those returning to therapy for shorter periods, when something arises that may feel too difficult to cope with alone.
