Profile

I have been counselling since the early nineties to a variety of clients from diverse backgrounds, ranging from the age of sixteen upwards on a brief therapy and long term basis; some on a free-lance basis and others through employment assistance programmes (EAP).

I also have extensive experience of childcare social work, play therapy and working with teenage children.

Counselling has been sought for many reasons some of which have been personal, ie. redundency, change in status etc, PTSD, anxiety, stress, low self esteem; loss and bereavement; difficulties associated with teenage years.

My approach is client centred based on psychodynamic principles; in addition to therapy on a cognitive behaviour basis, this can be brief or long term.

I offer an open trusting environment enabling an opportunity for exploration.
