Profile
My name is Allie Phipps and I specialise in helping people with anger, stress, anxiety, panic, depression, low self confidence, and many other problems.
I have over 20 years of experience, working in the NHS, latterly as a Specialist Cognitive Behavioural Therapist, before concentrating on my independent practice. I work as a trainer, therapist, coach, and supervisor and I work with individuals, teams and organisations.
I work from a quite location, ideal for therapy and confidentiality, which is fairly central to the county, and just over half an hour away from Lincoln.
I have over 20 years of experience, working in the NHS, latterly as a Specialist Cognitive Behavioural Therapist, before concentrating on my independent practice. I work as a trainer, therapist, coach, and supervisor and I work with individuals, teams and organisations.
I can offer therapy/counselling, including CBT (cognitive behavioural therapy), and also Mindfulness training. For your peace of mind I am a BABCP accredited therapist.

Training, Qualifications & Experience
Qualifications:
- MSc in Mindfulness Approaches, Bangor University - first module
- Diploma in Cognitive Therapy - Distinction
- Registered Mental Health Nurse
- B.Sc. (Hons) Human Psychology Degree: Upper 2:1.
Aston University in Birmingham. Course covered Clinical, Social, Educational and Occupational Psychology
Experience:
- Extensive experience working with clients following trauma and chronic pain.
- Extensive experience working with primary care and complex case referrals covering a wide variety of problems e.g. adjustment to physical and emotional events in life, panic, OCD, PTSD, Depression, self esteem, shame, trauma, anxiety.
- Co facilitating 8 week Mindfulness Training courses e.g at Lynsey Lodge Hospice, Scunthorpe.
- Excellent liaison skills with multi disciplinary team.
- Offering training to organisations in Lincoln e.g. Lincoln centre for Counselling.
- Invited to speak at local conferences about CBT.
- Co-organising the first very successful CBT conference in Lincolnshire inviting key guest speaker Dr Chris Williams.
- Supervising and mentoring CBT students.
- Offering expert professional opinion in the form of assessments, reports and treatment on behalf of solicitors and organisations involved in providing therapy for people following trauma.
- Individual case load, client work using (CBT) techniques. Mental Health Assessments, risk assessments. CPA key worker. Mentor to student Nurses, liaison worker with nursing colleges. Group work leader and co-facilitator
