Welcome, thank you for taking the time to look at my profile. I am an experienced counsellor working with adults of all ages.
Asking for therapy is a brave step forwards that you have decided to take control and begin to understand your emotional distress. My interest lies in working with anyone who has a desire to overcome their life challanges.
How I work - the counselling I offer is either face to face in the counselling room or by phone. The emphasis is on allowing you to feel you are in a safe space and able to bring whatever problem you have, and feel that it will be accepted. My way of working looks at what`s bothering you now as well as taking into account past experiences that may of contributed to your present issues. It can be helpful to look to the future and ways you can make positive changes in your thoughts and behaviour. I may suggest using EFT(tapping) with some clients as I have found it successfull in addressing anxiety in its may forms.
Will counselling work for you? - if you are in the right place to accept change, you have found benefit from counselling before or you just need a safe place to offload and a space to relax and look at your problem with fresh eyes. I respect the many different experiences of the individual, some people just feel unhappy in some way and don't know why.
A little more about me - My life experiences started in the rural farming community in the east midlands, involving animals in particular sheep and horses. I have equestrian qualifications and also have always been open to alternative therapies. I have a diploma in Aromatherapy and have an interest in Reiki. Mindfulness, Art therapy and Equine assisted therapy also I am an accredited EFT (tapping)practitioner, in fact anything that can help the mind body connection.
I can be contacted by phone for a free informal chat, or by email if you prefer, so you can decide whether my style of counselling suits your needs.

It is sometimes useful for clients who are experiencing difficulty with their relationship as a couple, to be seen first individually and I do see clients for this reason. They can then be referred on to couples counselling with more awareness of their part in the relationship.
I also see clients for anxiety and panic symptoms. I find EFT (tapping) works well for this.
