Profile
Confidential and compassionate professional psychotherapist based near central Oxford. Specialises in relationship problems - conflict, guilt and loneliness; distressing experiences - loss, illness and abuse, and low mood - depression, poor self-esteem and anxiety. I am a qualified psychotherapist and a member of the UKCP. I welcome inquiries and do appreciate that getting in touch can be daunting.
Therapy has helped the people I work with by providing a safe and reliable space to address troubling issues. Some of the benefits have been
- Gaining a clearer understanding of oneself
- Forging a more peaceful and constructive relationship with oneself
- Improving one's ability to make relationships
- Developing a greater sense of stability, integrity and confidence in work and relationships
- Creating effective tactics for managing difficult situations and feelings
- Feeling more playful, creative and engaged with others.
This work takes place in an atmosphere of respect and trust. Over time, hope emerges and new solutions are crafted to problems that may have seemed intractable. I work with individuals face-to-face and on the telephone. I am not trained to work with couples or children. Alongside my private practice, until recently I work within the NHS as an Honorary Psychotherapist in Oxford.
