About me

When you're asked how you are is your answer "ok" or "fine" ?

Do you wonder why that was your reply? Because you're feeling sad, unhappy, miserable, anything but fine or ok.

We often answer like this because we're not sure what's wrong, other times we may know but we don't feel we can tell another. Maybe it'll pass and we'll feel better again. Sometimes we don't want to burden others with our troubles, sometimes we're embarrassed to share. We may think others are just too busy or think us weak.

Whatever is going of for you right now I will listen to you, I will hear what you're saying, and I will help you.

I have been meeting people for over fifteen years and been able to help them through all sorts of difficult and disturbing times. All these years of experience alongside my own personal life events allow me to really understand what's going on for you.

You can speak to me for a short introductory chat to find out if you feel I'm the person that can help you. I'm happy to answer any questions or concerns about counselling that you may have. My number is 07824 882721 or 01435 813347

ABOUT ME AND HOW I WORK

Although I can't change your past I can help you deal with what's troubling you now. Whether a difficult relationship, anxiety or stress, a bereavement, or coping with the uncertainties of the future.  You're worrying, trying to deal with mixed emotions, and wish you had someone you could talk to.

What ever it is going on in your life that brings you to read this page, it can change. I have helped many people who have found themselves in what they feel to be hopeless sitiations to find their way through such times.

Strong feelings can come from either things that have, or you think are going to, happen. Life changing events, moving home, career change, childbirth, marriage, separation, illness, anything that involves taking on a new experience, thoughts of the future mixed with those from past experiences can affect our lives.

Counselling helps you find a new perspective. Understanding your present enables you to find your way to live whatever a more pleasing and agreeable life means to you. If you seem overwhelmed by how you feel now, it can change. As well as the diversity of the many people and problems I have encountered professionally, my own experiences have given me the ability to have a broad understanding and insight into many of life setbacks and crises.

Simplistically the Person-Centred approach means that I won't tell you what to do but allow you to work through what you know it best for you, putting you in the drivers seat. If you'd like to know more you are welcome to call or text me on 07824 882721 to see how I can help you.

I am a registered BACP counsellor working in my own practice since 2008.

Because I believe it's important that you feel comfortable and can trust the person you decide to work with I offer a short free initial consultation.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Further information

Here's what a few people have said about how therapy has helped them.

......I was finding life difficult with my husband and so I found myself in despair. The sessions with Morine were really useful. She is a caring professional who listened to me and helped me explore ways to cope with daily life and reduce my own levels of stress. Life has its ups and downs but having a caring professional next to you for those difficult times is something I would strongly recommend to anybody going through a difficult time. Thanks a lot for your support Morine.
TE Hailsham

I am so happy to have experienced a lovely and genuine counsellor. Morine listened and understood everything I had to say, I felt like I could be completely honest with her and she gave me lots if encouragement and help to improve my way of thinking. I cannot thank her enough!
SG Heathfield

Thank you for your recent counselling sessions. When I first came to you I was anxious and depressed. Your reassuring personality immediately calmed me down and I felt able to speak to you about long standing issues. You guided me through as I revealed deep seated worries. You we're professional and skilful in helping me sort out my issues and priorities. You took me seriously but our sessions were always lightened   by your wonderful sense of humour. You were so easy to talk to. Within minutes of meeting you I felt I could trust you and it was like talking to a good friend. I would recommend you without reservation to anyone who is anxious or depressed.
