Profile

Welcome, I am a professional counsellor/psychotherapist offering a friendly, confidential, non-judgemental and safe space to those wishing to explore and understand their life difficulties. I am experienced in working with a wide range of issues including: difficult relationships, anxiety, abuse, low self esteem, low self confidence, bereavement, depression, addiction, truama, sexuality, anger, illness and disability (a more comprehensive list appears further down the page). I work amongst peaceful surroundings using a humanistic face to face approach where no topic is considered unworthy or too small.

I have found that as we go though life, there can be periods of time where we find our emotions overwhelming us. Emotions such as; anger, sadness, confusion or dispair can often be bundled together, leading to feelings of distress. Counselling/psychotherapy can be a really good way of helping us to make sense of the way we feel inside, bringing us fresh insights and understanding, which help us to move on with our lives in a way, and at a pace, that feels right for us.

As a therapist I fully appreciate how daunting it can be searching for a counsellor/psychotherapist who feels right for you - this is not at all unusual and reflects your need to feel comfortable with your choice. You may find it helpful to arrange an initial exploritory session with your chosen counsellor/therapist. This time can be used to sensitively look at the things that are troubling you (whilst giving you a feel for the process), before making a decision on whether further sessions together feels suitable. This initial session is common practice in the world of counselling/psychotherapy and is considered very useful by both clients and therapists alike.

Please feel free to contact me should you have any queries regarding my qualifications and practice, or if you wish to make an appointment. If I am unavailable when you call, please leave a message and I will get back to you as soon as possible.

Thank you for your interest, and I look forward to speaking to you...
