Profile

As a counsellor my foremost aim is to offer you a warm, genuine, accepting and safe place where you can be free from judgment or criticism. Within this environment you can feel able to focus on and explore the issue/s which have brought you to seek counselling. Difficult life events can often leave you feeling confused and lost and wondering how to get your life back on 'track' again.

However, Sometimes you are not entirely clear about just what it is that is causing you to feel the way you do. Talking things through with an experienced listener can help you gain awareness and understanding of the source of your worry or distress.

Gaining this awareness and understanding allows you to cope more effectively with changes in your life and to gain more control over them. It's my deeply held belief that we as human beings have within us, the innate abilty to learn, develop and grow stronger from difficult and painful experiences.

You are an individual with your own unique life experience and I trust and respect your ability to make your own decisions in every aspect of your life. Therefore, you are the one who decides how many sessions you would like and the frequency of these. I have experience of working with clients in both the short term and longer term and with both past or present issues.
